The European Union has finally approved the Plan for the Ukraine Facility – Ukraine will receive EUR 1.89 billion in pre-financing On Tuesday, 14 May, the EU Council approved the Plan for the Ukraine Facility. The Implementation Decision paves the way for the signing of the relevant financing documents under the programme, as well as the further implementation of the Ukraine Facility in 2024-2027. Approval of the Plan will also allow the European Commission to provide Ukraine with up to EUR 1.89 billion in pre-emptive unconditional funding. This tranche is expected after Ukraine signs the Framework Agreement and its ratification by the Verkhovna Rada.
