Ukraine was elected as the chairman of the Working Program on Government Procurement Statistics of the WTO On February 25-27, 2019, for the first time in the history of its membership in the WTO, Ukraine was elected as the chairman of the Work Program on the Collection and Reporting of Statistical Data at the meeting of the Government Procurement Agreement Committee. This has become possible thanks to Ukraine’s significant achievements in this area in recent years. The previous chairman of the Program was the United States of America.

The Government approved the Program for development of state statistics by 2023 On February 27, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Program for development of state statistics until 2023 developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine jointly with the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The Program defines the strategic directions and tasks of the development of state statistics, as well as the expected results.
