Ukraine invites the WTO to help restore world food security, Yuliia Svyrydenko
The Government proposes to involve World Trade Organization experts in economic recovery, humanitarian demining and solving food security problems in the world. This was discussed during a meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Ukraine has officially accepted the WTO Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies
On Thursday, August 17, 2023, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, handed over the instrument on Ukraine’s acceptance of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Thus, Ukraine joined the ranks of WTO members who adopted this historic Agreement aimed at the development of sustainable fisheries.

Humanitarian demining, assessing the total environmental damage and holding russia accountable, and climate-friendly transformation of the Ukrainian economy. These and other important issues were discussed during a meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and foreign ambassadors as part of a working group on the practical implementation of the principles of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula in relation to its environmental security part.
