The delegation of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture headed by Deputy Minister, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka took part in a scheduled meeting of co-authors of Joint Statement of the WTO Members on e-commerce held in Geneva on September 24-27.
During the working visit, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka met with important trade partners of Ukraine, in particular, with representatives of the USA, EU, China, the United Kingdom, as well as the leadership of the WTO Secretariat and joined drafting of future WTO Agreement on e-commerce together with the delegation members.
“During the working meetings with our partners, we discussed the important issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and WTO reform. In particular, we focused on ensuring the operation of a dispute resolution system, enhancing the WTO’s function as a platform for multilateral trade negotiations, ensuring transparency and efficient monitoring of WTO activities, improving the efficiency of regular WTO bodies, and other important issues”, Deputy Minister, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka commented on the event.
