Government establishes Interagency Working Group on development of National Energy and Climate Plan
24.08.2023 | 17:04 | Section for Public and Mass Media RelationsThe Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has set up an Interagency Working Group (IWG) to prepare proposals and recommendations for the development of the National Energy and Climate Plan, chaired by Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine. It also includes representatives of the President’s Office, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The IWG is to coordinate the actions of the executive authorities to develop proposals and measures for the plan.
“Climate neutrality and green transition are the main principles of Ukraine’s recovery. In the coming years, energy development, including the production of green energy for domestic needs and exports to the EU, will become one of the priority areas for the development of the Ukrainian economy. In addition to electricity, Ukraine will produce green hydrogen, and agricultural waste will be used to produce biomethane. The growth of the industry will also stimulate the production of the necessary equipment and ensure a green industrial transition. Therefore, the National Energy and Climate Plan of Ukraine should become part of the country’s post-war recovery,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the Cabinet of Ministers has recently adopted a new Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2050, which takes into account existing best practices. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, with the involvement of international experts, has prepared a draft National Energy and Climate Plan of Ukraine until 2030. The Action Plan for Post-War Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine to Implement the Energy Strategy until 2050 is currently being finalised.

MV-4 light-weight demining vehicle assembled and localised in Ukraine receives certificate of conformity
The Ukrainian company A3tech has received a certificate of conformity of DOK-ING MV-4 demining machine to the requirements set out in Government Resolution No. 271 on mandatory certification of mechanised demining equipment. This will allow the manufacturer to move to industrial production of machines for the needs of the market: both government agencies and humanitarian demining operators.
