The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended a number of resolutions as part of economic deregulation. In accordance with the recommendations of the IWG on the accelerated review of state instruments for regulating economic activity, the Government's decision approved at its meeting on 17 March 2023 cancelled outdated instruments.
"The analysis carried out by the Interagency Working Group on deregulation demonstrates that there are many existing but outdated instruments in the regulatory framework today. Some of them even have a Soviet "pedigree". After all, both of them are simply not of practical importance today, they are not used, or they are used very limitedly. We will gradually abolish all such instruments that only clog the regulatory field," said Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.

By its decision, the Government also transferred the authority to issue a certificate of an intellectual property representative (patent attorney) to the National Intellectual Property Authority. Until now, these powers have belonged to the Ministry of Economy, while according to the law; the functions of certification and registration of patent attorneys are performed by the National Intellectual Property Authority.
