Ukraine and Brazil plan to cooperate to increase trade turnover between the countries: Yuliia Svyrydenko

This issue was discussed during a conference call between First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and Vice-President, Minister of Development, Industry and Trade of Brazil Geraldo José Rodrigues de Alckmin Filho.
“We had a fruitful meeting with our Brazilian colleague José Rodrigues de Alckmin Filho. He expressed his support and solidarity with Ukraine. We presented opportunities for Brazilian businesses to cooperate with Ukrainian entrepreneurs. Sustained economic growth, even against the backdrop of the war against the russian federation, as well as Ukraine’s status as an EU candidate country, opens up good prospects for foreign investors to enter European markets. We agreed that our governments will intensify the deepening of mutually beneficial economic cooperation and work to increase trade between Ukraine and Brazil. We have similar views on the range of products in which trade should be increased,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.
The parties discussed the possibility of holding further personal bilateral meetings and outlined economic topics for future discussion.
During the conversation, Yuliia Svyrydenko also invited Brazilian representatives to a high-level conference aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine to be held on 15-16 June in Sweden, and invited Brazilian businesses to participate in the International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery to be held on 11 and 12 June in Berlin.
