Ministry of Economy invites businesses to help shape the future of Ukraine’s economy
05.03.2024 | 11:03 | Section for Public and Mass Media RelationsIn a pivotal move to reshape Ukraine’s economic landscape, the Ministry of Economy is inviting international and domestic businesses to discover project opportunities and discuss reforms through the Ukraine Business Compact (UBC).
Launched in 2023, the UBC has rapidly evolved into a global network with over 650 businesses dedicated to supporting Ukraine’s recovery. To build upon this momentum, the Ministry of Economy will be hosting a series of workshops and working groups with businesses to explore prospective investment projects and build strong international partnerships. The working groups will also be an opportunity for businesses to give their views on how to remove barriers to investment and improve the ease of doing business in Ukraine.
This initiative is a cornerstone of the Ministry of Economy’s vision to put the private sector at the forefront of Ukraine’s reform and economic growth.
First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko said, “We are dedicated to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and invest in Ukraine. Through the UBC, we are building bridges between Ukrainian enterprises and global investors, driving forward our economy.”
Deputy Minister of Economy, Volodymyr Kuzyo, added, “The UBC is not just another series of discussions but aims to ignite a journey of economic transformation and partnership building for Ukraine and our international partners.”
Businesses wanting to participate should join the UBC by signing up at https://ubc.globalcompact.org.ua/. They will be then invited to fill in a short survey, responses to which will be presented in and become a starting point on reflection in the first workshop.
