Agreement on Free Trade between Ukraine and the Republic of Macedonia

The Agreement entered into force on September 10, 2001.

Since the beginning of implementation of the Agreement, two meetings of the Joint Committee took place. First one in Kyiv on September 20-21, 2007 and second – in Ohrid on May 28-31, 2009.
Revision of the Agreement
Within the framework of the Joint Committee the Parties developed some changes to the Agreement concerning further liberalization of trade in agricultural and food-processing products and replacement of existing rules of origin into a multilateral framework according to Regional Convention on pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin.
Negotiations completed on March 26, 2021. Internal legal procedures required for signing the amendments to the Agreement are on the final stage of fulfilment.
