France has specific proposals for Ukraine aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining. In particular, it is planned to send a high-level technical adviser to the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine to deal with humanitarian demining in Ukraine. This was discussed during a meeting between the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the Minister of the Interior of France Gérald Darmanin on 9 November 2023 in Paris. -

Ukraine and France are planning to strengthen their economic partnership by engaging French businesses in the reconstruction and recovery of our country. Investors from France plan to increase private investment in key industries, while Ukraine, in turn, will facilitate cooperation between companies from both countries and expand support for small and medium-sized businesses. This was discussed during a meeting between the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the representatives of the French association of enterprises MEDEF International. -

Ukraine will facilitate cooperation between French and Ukrainian companies working in the field of humanitarian demining, in particular, the localisation of production of Western models of machinery and equipment. In turn, French business is interested and ready for such cooperation. Because of Russia's invasion, Ukraine has become the most mined country on earth. About a third of the territory is potentially contaminated, and some analysts predict that it will take more than 750 years to clean up using conventional methods and available resources. Yuliia Svyrydenko, First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, who headed up the Ukrainian Government's coordination of humanitarian demining, is convinced: 80% of contaminated land must be returned to economic use within 10 years. And foreign experts believe that the approaches and technologies used in Ukraine will have an impact on demining activities around the world.
