Ukraine and France are establishing a working group to formulate a strategy and principles for managing state-owned enterprises, incorporating best practices for centralizing owner's functions. The French experience in managing state-owned enterprises (SOEs) will be considered. The proposal to create this working group was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, during a meeting with Alexis Zajdenweber, the head of the French State Participation Agency, in Paris. -

Ukraine is seeking the support of foreign financial institutions, in particular the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), to increase funding for concessional mortgage lending programmes for the population and the restoration of housing infrastructure. This was discussed during a meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and the leadership of the CEB. -

Ukraine and France continue to engage in a productive dialogue on Ukraine’s recovery without waiting for the end of the war, including deepening cooperation between companies, risk insurance, assistance in humanitarian demining, and export support. France has specific proposals for Ukraine aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining. In particular, it is planned to send a high-level technical adviser to the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine to deal with humanitarian demining in Ukraine. This was discussed during a meeting between the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the Minister of the Interior of France Gérald Darmanin on 9 November 2023 in Paris.
