Trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Costa Rica have great potential for growth, this concerns the increase in volumes and the diversification of trade. Preparations for the Memorandum of Understanding signing between Ukraine and Costa Rica on the promotion of trade and investment relations are currently being completed. The possibility of concluding a Free Trade Agreement is also being considered in the future. -

Some state-owned companies have already expressed their intention to go through the corporatization process. This is evidence that the benefits of change are observable, as the opportunities that corporate governance opens up for the public sector. Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, announced this at the conference "Corporate reform – the way to transparent and effective management of state property". -

On Wednesday, May 22, Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Olivér Várhelyi, EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, signed a Framework Agreement on EU financing under the Ukraine Facility. The agreement defines the mechanisms of financial cooperation between the EU and Ukraine, in particular on the management and control of the use of funds under the Ukraine Facility, as well as joint measures to prevent corruption. The next step is the ratification of the document by the Verkhovna Rada, after which the agreement will enter into force. -

The Ukrainian economy is recovering despite the war and massive rocket attacks by the russian federation. According to preliminary estimates by the Ministry of Economy, GDP growth in April 2024 compared to April last year was about 4.3% [±1%]. As a result, in January-April 2024, growth is estimated at 4.4% [±1%] compared to the same period last year. -

Ukraine wants operators to demine Ukrainian land with domestically produced equipment. This was stated by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko during a meeting with UNITED24 Ambassador, renowned actor Misha Collins and director Darius Marder with the participation of Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkaravaynyi and Acting Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Danik.
