Ukraine needs ten times the number of professionals trained to international standards for humanitarian demining. That is why the Government expects partner countries to help train deminers. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko in an address at the International Summit of Cities and Regions held in the framework of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak also attended the meeting. -

Negotiations on unblocking imports of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU between Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and the European Commission continue. The EU has offered a financial aid package to five countries neighbouring Ukraine in exchange for lifting restrictive measures on Ukrainian agricultural goods. This was announced by Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis after a meeting with representatives of Ukraine and five EU member states that limit exports of Ukrainian agricultural products. -

On 19 April, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko had an online meeting with Minister of Economy and Industry of Bulgaria Nikola Stoyanov to discuss the temporary ban on grain and food imports from Ukraine introduced from today. The exception is the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Bulgaria Olesia Ilashchuk also joined the meeting.
