The total amount of mortgage loans issued is UAH 3 billion. Since the start of the programme, 8,160 families have already received loans worth UAH 12.5 billion. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun.
“Since the beginning of this year, Ukrainians have taken out loans under the eOselia programme for UAH 3 billion. More than 1,800 Ukrainian families will buy apartments and 21 families will buy private houses. Almost 1,000 of these mortgages were taken out by servicemen and law enforcement officers, 174 – by teachers and scientists, and 140 – by doctors. I would like to remind that representatives of these professions may take out a loan under the programme at 3%. At the same time, mortgages are also available to other citizens who do not have their own housing or need to improve their living conditions – they can take out a loan at 7%. This year, more than 500 people have already taken advantage of this opportunity,” Nadiia Bihun said.
In particular, last week, Ukrainians received 214 loans worth UAH 356 million under the eOselia programme, including:
- 122 servicemen and law enforcement officers, 18 teachers, 10 doctors and 7 scientists received loans at 3%;
- 48 Ukrainians without their own housing, 4 IDPs and 5 veterans received loans at 7%.
Most often, loans were taken out to purchase housing in the secondary market (171 loans) and from a developer (37). In addition, 6 Ukrainians took out loans to buy an apartment in a building under construction.
Most mortgage loans were taken out by residents of:
Kyiv oblast – 55;
Kyiv city – 41;
Odesa oblast – 16;
Lviv oblast – 13;
Rivne oblast – 10.
Today, the affordable lending programme is available to representatives of certain professions and citizens who do not own housing or want to improve its conditions. For contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, teachers, doctors and scientists, the preferential rate is 3% per annum. For other categories – combatants, veterans, IDPs and other citizens – the mortgage rate is 7%.
