Funding for the eOselia programme increased: at least 10,000 families will benefit from preferential mortgages by end of year

eOselia affordable mortgage programme has received full funding for this year. According to Ukrfinzhytlo, at least 10,000 Ukrainian families will be able to receive a preferential mortgage by the end of the year. Therefore, those Ukrainians who have been denied a loan due to lack of funding are advised to reapply in Diia.

"We see how much demand there is for the programme among people. They want to build their lives in Ukraine despite the war. That is why the Government, together with Ukrfinzhytlo, has found opportunities and raised additional funds for the programme, both on the open financial market and through loans. We continue to work so that in the future international investments will also come to this area," said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

As a reminder, the affordable lending program is currently available to representatives of certain professions and citizens who do not own housing or want to improve its conditions. For contract service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, teachers, doctors and scientists, the preferential rate is 3% per annum on the secondary or primary market. For other categories – combatants, veterans, IDPs, and other citizens – the mortgage rate is 7%.

Ukrfinzhytlo emphasises that borrowers applying for a 7% mortgage can choose an apartment in a building not older than three years at the time of the contract or one under construction.

"We are focusing on the primary property market. It is important that eOselia is able to provide a positive multiplier effect to the economy, and this is only possible thanks to the construction boost," said Yevhen Metsher.

The list of properties accredited by our partner banks for the purchase of housing in the primary market in houses under construction is available here.

You can apply only in the Diia mobile application. Read more about how to do this here.

Background:

The eOselia programme was launched in October last year. Since then, 2,475 Ukrainian families have purchased their own homes for over UAH 3.4 billion. The pace of loan disbursement increased in May, when the programme began to resume funding thanks to additional funds raised.

eOselia is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ukrfinzhytlo and Diia.
