The use of the Prozorro procurement system by international financial organizations will contribute to the rapid recovery of Ukraine and strengthen the national economy. The World Bank has already approved the use of Prozorro for all projects it finances in Ukraine, so the Government of Ukraine hopes that other international organizations will harmonize their procurement rules through the new Prozorro procedure. This will ensure the most efficient use of donor funds.

This was stated by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, during a video conference with the IFI Operational Coordination Group. The event was attended by Nadiia Bihun, Deputy Minister of Economy, representatives of Ukrainian ministries, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other international financial institutions.

“The Prozorro public procurement system is well known to local suppliers, which makes it easier for Ukrainian companies to access international financial institutions that will participate in procurement. Today, more than 250,000 suppliers and 20,000 service providers are registered in Prozorro. Therefore, using Prozorro according to the rules of international donors will ensure broad competition in tenders and increase the participation of Ukrainian businesses in Ukraine’s reconstruction,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.

She added that Prozorro was not only a tool for tendering, but also an ecosystem of communication, training and analysis of procurement data for all participants in the process.

First Deputy Prime Minister called on all international financial institutions to consider Prozorro as the only procurement tool in Ukraine. A new procedure from SE Prozorro allows for flexible adaptation of procurement to the rules of a particular donor, based on the constructor principle.

Thus, the participants of the meeting agreed to continue work on analyzing the effectiveness of the developed module of donor procedures.
