eOselia: 9,000 Ukrainian families took loans for the purchase of housing worth UAH 14 billion

According to the eOselia programme, 9,000 Ukrainians took loans for the purchase of housing for a total amount of UAH 14 billion. Every fifth loan have been taken under mass mortgage conditions - at 7%. Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun informed about this.

“9 thousand Ukrainian families have taken loans for the purchase of housing under the eOselia programme since its launch. The total amount of loans issued is UAH 14 billion. 60% of mortgage loans have been taken by military personnel and law enforcement officials, 11% by teachers and scientists, and 9% by doctors. As a reminder, representatives of these professions may take a loan for the purchase of an apartment or a private house at 3%. Other Ukrainians who do not have housing or need to improve housing conditions may get a loan under the programme at 7%. Today, every fifth loan issued is on the terms of a mass mortgage, at 7%. Ukrainians purchase not only apartments, but also private houses - 81 loans have already been issued for the purchase of them,” Nadiia Bihun noted.

In particular, last week, Ukrainians received 198 loans worth UAH 331 million under the eOselia programme, including:

  • 96 military and law enforcement officers, 10 teachers, 17 doctors and 4 scientists received loans at 3%;
  • 52 Ukrainians without their own housing, 8 IDPs and 11 veterans received loans at 7%.

Most often, loans were taken for the purchase of housing in the secondary market (150 loans) and from the developer (27). 21 Ukrainians also took out loans to buy an apartment in a building under construction.

Residents of the following regions took mortgage loans the most:

Kyiv oblast - 38;

the city of Kyiv - 37;

Lviv oblast - 16;

Odesa oblast - 15;

Vinnytsia and Volyn oblasts - 10 each.

As a reminder, the affordable loans programme may be used today by both representatives of certain professions and citizens who do not own a home or want to improve its conditions. For servicemen of the Armed Forces under contract, teachers, doctors and scientists, the preferential rate is 3% per annum. For other categories - combatants, veterans, IDPs, other citizens - the mortgage rate is 7%.

The programme of the Ministry of Economy is implemented jointly with the Ministry of Information and Communications and PrJSC Ukrfinzhytlo. eOselia partner banks are Oschadbank, Privatbank, Ukrgasbank, Globus Bank, Sky Bank, Ukreximbank, Sense Bank and Bank Credit Dnipro.
