On July 27, during a discussion panel held as part of a large-scale event dedicated to the anniversary of the Own Business grant program, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna spoke about the program details and encouraged Ukrainian businesses to apply for grants.

In particular, Own Business is one of the most popular components of the eRobota business support grant program, which also covers grants for recycling, garden development and creation of greenhouses, and new area – grants for veterans and their spouses.

“Our Own Business grant program has been operating for a year already and the results are impressive: 6.5 thousand winners, UAH 1.3 billion – an amount that our winners already receive. If we talk about which regions are the leaders in this program, the most successful entrepreneurs who participated in the program and won are Lviv region, Kyiv, and Rivne region,” said Tetiana Berezhna.

The Deputy Minister noted that wholesale and retail trade, recycling industry, hotels and restaurants, temporary accommodation and catering are among the most popular activities. “The Government worked to make these grants convenient and accessible to everyone. Therefore, I invite all those who wish to apply. But the main thing is that behind all these numbers there are people, and these are incredibly strong people who worked during the war, created jobs and paid taxes. And for me it is a great pleasure to be in the company of such brave and stable people, who are the drivers of our economy,” emphasized Tetiana Berezhna.

She added that since April 10, the eRobota program has expanded to include a veteran component, which has three parts – grants from UAH 250,000 to UAH 1 million. Among the first winners there are already 20 combatants and 21 wives of combatants. According to the program, 8 waves are expected by the end of the year. The budget is UAH 1 billion. A new wave of applications for recycling grants is starting, with the possibility of receiving a grant of up to UAH 8 million. It is expected to issue 1,000 grants by the end of the year.
