The international community's support in implementing Ukraine's European integration course and strengthening the implementation of reforms will play a crucial role in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. This was discussed at this year's Ukraine-Oxford Summit "European Horizons for Ukraine". Oleksandr Hryban, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, took part in the panel discussion "Financing of Reconstruction and Reforms in Ukraine", where he spoke about specific financial instruments to support the private sector that will be crucial in rebuilding Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Economy is working on the development of political risk insurance instruments to cover political risks, for which a separate fund is planned to be created, which will attract not only MIGA, DFC and ECA of the G7 countries, but also the private international insurance market operators. In addition, we are counting on the support of international financial institutions and donors to provide low-cost loans for institutions that plan to expand their funding portfolios to support the Ukrainian private sector, both directly and through commercial banks. In this way, we will create a ready-made solution for potential investors," said Oleksandr Hryban during his online speech.

He also reminded that Ukraine has a number of industrial parks that offer not only industrial sites with ready-made utilities, but also tax benefits. These incentives actually create a great potential for outsourcing production in Ukraine.

"Together with our international partners, including BlackRock and J.P. Morgan, we are working on the concept of establishing a Development Fund in Ukraine. We are currently in talks with a number of banks from the US, UK and Asia that are planning to join this process. In addition, the investment platform #AdvantageUkraine consolidates investment projects and processes investor enquiries from around the world," added Oleksandr Hryban, Deputy Minister of Economy.

As a reminder, the initiative to attract investment #AdvantageUkraine was launched in September 2022 under the support of the President of Ukraine. The #Advantage Ukraine project team works under the support of the USAID Programme "Competitive Economy of Ukraine", providing professional advice to potential investors as well as analytical support to domestic companies seeking to raise equity or debt capital, or submit projects for political risk insurance.
