Over the past week, units of the State Emergency Service, Ministry of Defence, State Special Transport Service and non-governmental operators have surveyed more than 6,000 hectares of agricultural land. The vast majority of the surveyed land is in the south of the country. This was reported by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy, citing the data from the OMA.

"Despite the very difficult challenges for our rescuers and military personnel associated with the terrorist attack at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, the planned demining operations are ongoing. Last week, 6,383 hectares of agricultural land were surveyed. Of these, 3,724 hectares were surveyed in Kherson Oblast and 3,590 hectares were cleared of mines. In Mykolaiv Oblast, 2,106 hectares were surveyed. At the same time, demining specialists managed to quickly neutralise mines from the aggressor's eroded minefields that were washed up by the current," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, more than 127,000 hectares of agricultural land have been surveyed since the beginning of the year.

The four-year plan envisages priority surveys and, if necessary, clearance and demining of more than 470,000 hectares of agricultural land. This year's objective is to return up to 165,000 hectares to use. This is about 35% of the total area.
