First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso signed a Memorandum of Technical Cooperation in the industrial sector.

Each of us has probably heard about Italian quality at least once in our lives from a seller at a market or shopping centre. After all, Italy is a country of fashion and delicious food. The Italian experience is exemplary and can help Ukraine promote its Made in Ukraine brand in Europe. This is exactly what we agreed with the Italian Minister of Entrepreneurship Adolfo Urso and signed a Memorandum on the support and development of branding of Ukrainian products,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, thanks to our cooperation, a pavilion with Ukrainian goods will appear at the largest Italian fairs. In addition, Rome will help Kyiv create digital product platforms.

I am convinced that soon Ukrainian goods will be widely represented on the shelves of European supermarkets, and the Made in Ukraine inscription will be associated with high quality, environmental friendliness and competitive prices. The fastest possible economic recovery is a priority for our Ministry. This way Ukraine will have another mechanism for this,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

In particular, the document states that the Italian side will make efforts to create a special Made in Ukraine labelling to be applied to Ukrainian goods.

Moreover, Ukraine and Italy will strengthen the fight against counterfeit and imitation goods: the Italian side promises to share its experience in combating anti-competitive business behaviour in the event of the so-called Italian Sounding products in the Made in Italy sectors.

The parties agreed to deepen the protection of intellectual property rights, exchange of innovations and technology transfer.

According to Adolfo Urso, deepening cooperation between the two countries should bring mutual benefits to the economies of Ukraine and Italy. He believes that Ukrainian goods have a huge potential in the European market thanks to the solidarity of the EU countries with Ukraine, which is now constantly in the news.
