First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, Gaël Veyssière, have signed an Implementation Agreement to the Grant Agreement between the Government of the French Republic and the Government of Ukraine.

“Today, we have signed an Implementation Agreement to the Grant Agreement between Ukraine and France, enabling us to secure €200 million in grant aid. Up to 50% of these funds will be allocated for purchasing Ukrainian goods and services to support reconstruction projects. These projects will be carried out in close collaboration with French companies, which are actively supporting Ukraine and currently employ 25,000 people in our country. I am deeply grateful to the French government and people for their support and belief in Ukraine’s resilience,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Key sectors set to receive funding under the Implementation Agreement include healthcare, energy, water supply and sanitation, demining, digital technology, infrastructure, agriculture, waste processing, and housing construction.

This agreement follows the signing of an agreement in June in the presence of Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron.

Work is also underway to expand the mandate of AFD Group in Ukraine to support Ukrainian enterprises. The French Development Agency, PROPARCO (Society for Promotion and Participation in Economic Cooperation), and Expertise France will be able to provide loans, grants, guarantees, and other forms of financial and technical assistance.

This support may be provided to public or private enterprises, banking institutions, associations, organisations, and any other legal entities based in Ukraine.
