Agro Security Forum 2025: Ukraine and Poland strengthen agricultural dialogue in Warsaw
03.12.2025 | 16:20 | Section for Public and Mass Media Relations.

On 3 December, Warsaw hosted the international Agro Security Forum 2025, an event dedicated to key challenges and development priorities for the agrifood sector in Poland, Ukraine, and Europe. As Ukraine’s agricultural sector continues to face the consequences of war, disrupted logistics, rising production costs, and climate change, the Forum served as a platform for market analysis, knowledge exchange, and practical recommendations to support agrifood resilience.

The event brought together representatives of the governments of Ukraine and Poland, industry associations, agrifood companies, research institutions, and sector experts. The Forum was held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Minister of Agriculture Krzysztof Krajewski and became an important venue for discussing evolving food security risks in Europe and Ukraine’s integration into the EU agricultural space. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi.

Across six thematic panels, participants discussed:

• international cooperation and agricultural integration as a response to global food security challenges;

• prospects for livestock and feed production in Poland and Ukraine;

• current trends in grain and oilseed markets;

• development of high-value specialized agrifood production;

• opportunities in the fertilizer market for both countries;

• logistics for agrifood supply chains, including new routes, technologies, and safety solutions.

Particular attention was given to the development of Ukrainian-Polish agrilogistics, harmonisation of national legislation with EU standards, and building new business models for the agricultural sector.

“Stable cooperation between Ukraine and Poland is crucial not only for our agricultural sectors but also for Europe’s food security as a whole. We have strong joint potential in production, logistics, and export. In 2024, Ukraine exported €1,521.5 million worth of agrifood products to Poland, accounting for 20.1% of Poland’s total imports from third countries. Between 2021 and 2024, Ukrainian agrifood exports to Poland grew by 65.9%. Our task is to turn existing challenges into opportunities and ensure stability for both countries’ agricultural sectors. Deepening cooperation will enable the creation of new value chains, strengthen Europe’s food security, and support transparent and mutually beneficial trade,” – emphasized Taras Vysotskyi.

Ukraine’s participation in Agro Security Forum 2025 reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to advancing agricultural cooperation, aligning sectoral approaches, and reinforcing regional food stability. The agreements reached during the Forum will serve as a basis for future projects in logistics, production, processing, and trade, supporting Ukraine’s integration into the European agrifood landscape.
