On 24 May, the Lviv Taste Fair 2026 took place in Lviv — a gastronomic event that, for the fourth consecutive year, has brought together Ukrainian producers, farmers, experts and food enthusiasts from across the country.
This year’s fair brought together 53 producers from 14 regions of Ukraine — ranging from certified organic producers and artisanal cheesemakers to local food brands from the Lviv region, farm enterprises, veteran-led businesses and companies that have relocated due to the war.
The Lviv Taste Fair this year welcomed a record number of visitors — over 6,000. For representatives of the food sector, HoReCa and retail, the fair served as a space for gastronomic discovery and the search for new partnerships. For consumers, it provided an opportunity to see how rapidly Ukrainian artisanal and organic production has developed and transformed in recent years.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to taste artisanal cheeses, a wide range of organic products, meat delicacies, teas, jams, sauces, wines, local sweets and other products from Ukrainian producers. Guests also enjoyed four gastronomic masterclasses, live music, a children’s play area, prize draws and, of course, direct engagement with producers.
Particular attention this year was given to supporting small Ukrainian businesses most affected by the war — in particular veteran enterprises, as well as producers operating in frontline territories or those who were forced to relocate their production.
“The Lviv Taste Fair is pleasantly surprising us for the fourth time with how Ukrainian producers each year demonstrate resilience and continuous development under the conditions of the full-scale invasion. This progress is reflected not only in the expansion of product ranges or the emergence of new flavours, but also in international recognition. Among the participants are winners of international competitions, which confirms that Ukrainian producers are able to remain steadfast, resilient, and meet the highest global standards. We thank all participants for representing the ‘Made in Ukraine’ brand with dignity,” said Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
“Over the past four years, the Lviv Taste Fair has become not only a gastronomic event, but also a platform supporting producers, small businesses and people who, despite the war, create high-quality products. Today, the fair brings together participants from 14 regions of Ukraine, including veterans, internally displaced persons and families of defenders. By buying Ukrainian products, we support the state economy, rural Ukraine, and the future of our communities,” said Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
According to Felix Baumann, Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine, the development of local production, creation of trade opportunities, and support for the organic and dairy sectors are an important part of cooperation between Ukraine and Switzerland:
“The Lviv Taste Fair is not only about gastronomy, but also about resilience, talent, and the entrepreneurial spirit of Ukrainian producers from different regions of the country. Despite all the challenges, representatives of the organic and dairy sectors continue to develop their businesses, produce high-quality food, and open new opportunities for the local economy. We are proud that Switzerland has supported this initiative for four consecutive years and contributes to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine.”
The Lviv Taste Fair once again confirmed that Ukrainian gastronomy today is driven by people who, despite all challenges, continue to create, work and develop Ukrainian products.
