According to the relocation program, 761 enterprises were relocated to safer regions, 80% of them have already resumed work at the new location. This was announced by Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, on the air of the National Telethon.
“To date, 761 enterprises have moved their production facilities from regions of active hostilities to safer ones, while 588 of them are already working at a new location. Another 274 enterprises are currently searching for a suitable location or method of transportation. As part of the relocation program, the state provides support to every business that wants to move from dangerous territories and work fully to win. In this way, we not only preserve the production potential of the country but also thousands of jobs,” Tetiana Berezhna said.
Among the relocated enterprises that have already resumed their activities at the new location, the largest share is:
- enterprises in the field of wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (40.24% of the total number of relocated enterprises);
- processing industry (31.71%);
- information and telecommunications (6.34%);
- professional, scientific and technical activities (5.85%);
- construction (4.15%).
Most enterprises relocated to Lviv (30% of relocated enterprises), Zakarpattia (17%), Chernivtsi (11%), Ivano-Frankivsk (8%), Khmelnytskyi (7%) and Ternopil (7%) oblasts.
An enterprise that has decided to relocate its production facilities receives a support package from the state, which includes the following options:
- selection of a location for the company’s facilities;
- assistance in transportation to a new location;
- assistance in the resettlement of employees and the search for new employees;
- support in restoring logistics, purchasing raw materials and finding sales markets.
Enterprises are currently relocated to one of sixteen regions (Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Rivne, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Odesa and Kyiv (excluding the city of Kyiv) oblasts).
We remind you that the government program of relocation of enterprises is implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine together with oblast state administrations as well as Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrposhta. To participate in the program, you need to register on the digital interaction platform at the link.
As of 24 October 2022, 1,863 applications for relocation of enterprises were registered on the platform, while 623 of these enterprises refused to relocate due to the de-occupation of the territories where they were located.
