The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine announces the launch of the competitive selection for four positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board of the Joint Stock Company “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom.” The competition is held in accordance with the candidate requirements and evaluation criteria approved by the Nominations Committee.

This selection process represents a practical step in implementing the joint action plan with G7 countries on rebooting corporate governance at Energoatom, agreed at the end of last week. The Ministry is systematically informing the European Commission, the IMF and other key international financial institutions about the implementation of this plan. Together, a new Supervisory Board is being formed through a full, open and competitive procedure.

From 25 November to 4 December 2025, candidates may submit application documents in Ukrainian and English to: [email protected].

Applications are open to Ukrainian and international professionals with proven senior experience in the energy and nuclear energy sectors, electricity markets, finance, auditing, risk management, compliance and corporate governance, who meet independence requirements and maintain an impeccable professional reputation.

The selection procedure includes:

• assessment of submitted documents,

• interviews involving an independent recruitment agency,

• integrity checks,

• formation of a shortlist,

• final interviews conducted by the Nominations Committee, which will select the successful candidates through a transparent and open procedure agreed jointly with international partners.

“Together with G7 countries, we are translating our joint action plan into concrete steps – an open competition, clear requirements and the involvement of an independent recruiter. This strengthens trust in Energoatom from both the public and international partners, making the company’s governance more predictable and professional,” noted Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

A detailed announcement on the competition for four independent members of the Supervisory Board of JSC “NNEGC Energoatom,” including the full list of candidate requirements, is available on the official website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

In parallel, the Government is implementing a plan to renew supervisory boards at key energy companies and, together with partners, is conducting assessments and audits of their activities.
