The European Union is Ukraine's main trading partner. According to the results of 2022, the share of trade in goods and services with the EU amounted to 53.6% of total trade in Ukraine (according to the results of 2021 – 39.1%).

Total Trade          2021: $ 62.5 billion (↑35.0%).

Turnover              2022: $ 59.3 billion (5.2%).

Exports                2021: $ 30.3 billion (↑45.5%).

          2022: $ 30.6 billion (↑1.1%).

Imports                 2021: $ 32.3 billion (↑26.4%).

          2022: $ 28.7 billion (↓11.1%).

Balance                2021: - $ 2.0 billion.

Furniture – 3.3% (↑41.1%).

Cereals – 16.8% (↑141.7%);

Fats and oils – 11.0% (↑29.4%);

Oil seeds and fruits – 10.4% (↑96.5%);

Ferrous metals – 10.0% (↓48.7%);

Ores and slags – 8.5% (↓21.0%);

Electric machines – 8.3% (↓10.0%);

Wood and articles of wood – 5.8% (↑13.2%);

Energy materials – 3.3% (↑59.5%).

Nuclear reactors, boilers, machines – 13.3% (↑28.2%);

Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 11.3% (↑28.3%);

Energy materials – 11.0% (↑58.3%);

Electric machines – 7.0% (↑3.8%);

Pharmaceutical products – 7.0% (↑17.6%);

Plastics and polymeric materials – 6.2% (↑36.0%);

Other chemical products – 2.8% (↑10.1%);

Paper, paperboard – 2.4% (↑20.5%).

Energy materials – 24.0% (↑103.7%);

Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 10.8% (↓10.5%);

Nuclear reactors, boilers, machines – 7.1% (↓50.1%);

Exports              2021: $ 4.4 billion (↑15.6%):

   Telecommunications services – 29.8% (↑24.0%);

Transport services – 26.1% (↑13.8%);

Services for processing of material resources – 29.1% (↓1.1%);

Business services – 13.8% (↑22.1%);

Services for insurance – 2.3% (↑271.7%).

2022: $ 3.4 billion (↓22.3%).

Telecommunications services – 34.2% (↓10.8%);

Transport services – 24.5% (↓27.1%);

Services for processing of material resources – 22.3% (↓20.9%);

Business services – 13.2% (↓26.0%);

Financial services – 2.8% (↑90.2%).

Imports       2021: $ 3.3 billion (↑38.5%).

Transport services – 25.4% (↑59.8%);

Business services – 19.2% (↑29.9%);

Travel related services – 15.6% (↑111.6%);

Telecommunications services – 12.3% (↑22.7%);

Royalties and other IPR – 12.0% (↑29.2%).

2022: $ 1.7 billion (↓48.5%).

Transport services – 40.1% (↓18.6%);

Business services – 17.8% (↓52.2%);

Telecommunications services – 13.5% (↓43.4%);

Royalties and other IPR – 9.9% (57.6%);

Financial services – 7.3% (↓45.4%).
