The European Union is Ukraine's main trading partner. According to the results of 2020, the share of trade in goods and services with the EU amounted to 40.7% of total trade in Ukraine (according to the results of January-September 2021 – 39.9%).

 Oil seeds and oleaginous fruits – 6.7% (↓18.5%).

 Wood and articles of wood – 5.3% (↓1.3%);

 Furniture – 3.5% (↑15.1%).

 Ferrous metals – 21.5% (↑142.3%);

 Ores and slags – 12.9% (↑162.6%);

 Electric machines – 9.9% (↑30.4%);

 Fats and oils – 7.7% (↑18.6%);

 Wood and articles of wood – 5.5% (↑47.5%);

 Oil seeds and oleaginous fruits – 4.6% (↑19.9%);

 Furniture – 3.4% (↑54.0%).

 Nuclear reactors, boilers, machines – 13.3% (↓6.4%);

 Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 11,6% (↓16.7%);

 Electric machines and equipment – 8.4% (↓6.3%);

 Pharmaceutical products – 7.7% (↑15.2%);

 Energy materials – 6.9% (↓40.4%);

 Polymeric materials, plastics – 5.7% (↑0.1%);

 Other chemical products – 3.4% (↓7.8%);

 Paper and cardboard – 2.5% (↓4.1%).

 Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 11.7% (↑35.7%);

     Telecommunication services – 31.9% (↑29.9%);

 Transport services – 25.4% (↓20.5%);

 Material resources processing services – 23.1% (↓7.5%);

 Business services – 13.2% (↓8.4%);

 Repair and maintenance services – 1.8% (↓18.8%).

           9-2021: $ 3.0 billion (↑8.6%):

 Telecommunication services – 29.2% (↑10.9%);

 Transport services – 25.3% (↑1.1%);

 Material resources processing services – 23.2% (↑1.7%);

 Business services – 13.5% (↑14.9%);

 Insurance services – 2.5% (↑267.3%).

Imports           2020: $ 2.8 billion (↓25.0%).

 Business services – 22.4% (↓24.7%);

 Transport services – 19.6% (↓40.1%);

 Royalties and other related services – 15.1% (↓8.0%);

 Telecommunication services – 13.9% (↑6.7%);

 Financial services – 10.4% (↓5.3%).

           9-2021: $ 2.3 billion (↑36.1%):

 Transport services – 24.2% (↑46.6%);

 Business services – 19.2% (↑27.6%);

 Travel related services – 18.8% (↑127.8%);

 Royalties and other IPR – 11.8% (↑33.3%);

 Telecommunication services – 10.3% (↑9.3%).

Balance          2020: $ 1.5 billion.
