The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the International Trust Fund (ITF) have discussed potential projects to be financed in 2025. At the ITF board meeting, Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy, called for funds to be allocated for the purchase of Ukrainian demining equipment for the State Emergency Service and the State Special Transport Service, as well as to support projects and grants to develop innovations and training programmes for veterans seeking employment in the mine action sector. -

On 14 November, Warsaw hosted a meeting of Special Representatives for Ukraine’s recovery from 19 countries as part of the EU-Ukraine Investment Conference. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine co-organised this year’s event. The meeting was opened by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal. Attendees included representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and Special Representatives for Ukraine’s Recovery from 19 countries, including the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, Sweden, the Netherlands, as well as the European Union, represented by two Directorates-General — DG GROW and DG NEAR. -

Today, the European Commission approved the second scheduled payment to Ukraine under the EU’s Ukraine Facility initiative, amounting to approximately €4.1 billion. This mechanism supports Ukraine in maintaining macro-financial stability and ensuring the effective functioning of state institutions. The final decision on the disbursement now rests with the EU Council, and the funds are expected to be transferred to Ukraine’s budget by the end of the year, bringing the total financing for 2024 to €16.1 billion. -

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, held a meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, which commenced work in Kyiv for the sixth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme. The discussions focused on progress in meeting the indicators of the Ukraine Plan under the Ukraine Facility financing programme, key economic projections for 2025, a new financing model for the eOselia programme, and labour market reforms.
