The Government has transferred UAH 170 million to the accounts of recipients of microgrants for starting or developing a business under the 'eRobota' grant programme. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.

"The government's 'eRobota' grant programmes to support entrepreneurship introduced in 2022 continue to operate, and today another 717 Ukrainians have received microgrants to their accounts to start or develop their businesses totalling UAH 170 million. These funds were received by the winners of the last two waves of the "Own Business" programme last year and some of the winners who applied for microgrants this year," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Under the "Own Business" programme, Ukrainians may receive financial support from the state in the form of a microgrant from UAH 50,000 to 250,000. The funds can be used to purchase or lease equipment, purchase raw materials and supplies, and rent premises. Both an existing entrepreneur and a person with no experience of such activities can receive a microgrant. A prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs. Ukrainians who received microgrants last year will create about 8,000 new jobs.

This year, UAH 1.8 billion has been budgeted for the "Own Business" programme, which will allow us to issue about 10,000 microgrants.

As a reminder, the government's 'eRobota' project includes grant programmes aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and job creation. In particular, these are microgrants programmes for starting or developing your own business, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, planting gardens and viticulture, and glasshouse farming. Applications for all areas of the 'eRobota' programme are submitted through the “Diia” portal.
