Cooperation with DFC and USAID will help Ukraine attract investments for the reconstruction of the country – Yuliia Svyrydenko
18.04.2023 | 12:28 | Section for Public and Mass Media RelationsThe U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will help the government of Ukraine attract public and private investments for the reconstruction of the country. The corresponding memorandum was signed in Washington by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, USAID Administrator Samantha Power and DFC Chief Executive Officer Scott Nathan.
“The memorandum with DFC and USAID provides for close cooperation with the team of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. I can say with confidence that the signing of this document shows that the international partners support our country and that they are confident that Ukraine will win. Our positions reflected in the Memorandum will be a signal to other creditors and investors around the world that they can start getting involved in the recovery of Ukraine and its economic development today,” explained the importance of this event First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Advantage Ukraine, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, is already interacting with DFC for the purpose of preparing investment projects and pre-selecting projects, cooperating with Ukrainian applicants. Projects worth hundreds of millions of US dollars have already been directed to this organization under the direct lending instruments and military risk insurance. After receiving a positive decision of the DFC, Ukraine Invest will follow up the investors.
“American partners continue to demonstrate their support for Ukraine in the fight against the enemy and are always ready to help Ukrainian business. We thank the U.S. Government, DFC and USAID for their partnership and assistance in the process of the country’s economic recovery,” summarized Yuliia Svyrydenko.
As a reminder, the relevant Memorandums of Understanding were previously concluded with J.P. Morgan Securities plc and International Finance Corporation (IFC).

European Commission approves the Plan for the Ukraine Facility

Denmark allocates DKK 300 million to support business projects of its companies in Ukraine
The Danish government allocates additional funds for the Danish-Ukrainian fund, which promotes the attraction of investments by Danish companies in Ukraine. eOselia: 9,000 Ukrainian families took loans for the purchase of housing worth UAH 14 billion
According to the eOselia programme, 9,000 Ukrainians took loans for the purchase of housing for a total amount of UAH 14 billion. Every fifth loan have been taken under mass mortgage conditions - at 7%. Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun informed about this.
