A new industrial park, "Chervonohrad", located on the territory of Chervonohrad territorial community of Chervonohrad Raion of Lviv Oblast, has been included in the register of industrial parks. The Government made the corresponding decision at a meeting on 02 April 2024.
"The Government's policy provides for stimulating the development of the processing industry in Ukraine to the level of developed countries, where its share in total GDP is 20%. The creation of industrial parks is one of the components of this work – they ensure economic growth and create new jobs. A new industrial site in Lviv Oblast should create about 3250 new jobs and attract investments in production development worth more than 1,5 billion UAH," said Vitalii Kindrativ, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
The Chervonohrad industrial park was created as part of the project for the fair transformation of coal regions, supported by our German partners within the framework of the GIZ project "Fair transformation of coal regions and green recovery of the energy sector of Ukraine". Currently, with the support of the German Government and local budgets, comprehensive design and estimate documentation is being developed for the development of the engineering and transport infrastructure of the industrial park.
According to the concept of the Chervonohrad industrial park, about 3250 jobs in the processing industry will be created on an area of more than 63 hectares. In particular, investors are expected to initiate the production of food products, furniture, paper and paper products, non-metallic mineral products, fabricated metal products, machinery and equipment, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and other vehicles. It is also planned to create woodworking enterprises and manufacture of products of wood and cork. Scientific and technical research will be carried out on the territory of the park, laboratories will operate, including in independent confirmation of the quality of raw materials and finished products.
The configuration of the park also assumes the use in the future of the territory of the waste heap of the former mine, which could become a pilot project for Ukraine for the revitalization of waste heaps and their use for the needs of the community.
The volume of donor funds received is more than 10 million UAH. The total investments planned for the development of Chervonohrad industrial park over the next three years should amount to more than 1,5 billion UAH.
