Oleksandr Kravchenko Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine |
Education:In 2005, he graduated with honors from Kyiv National Economic University, earning a Master's degree in International Management. He also participated in academic exchange programs at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria) and the University of Konstanz (Germany). In 2012, he received an MBA from London Business School (United Kingdom), where he was named to the Dean’s List in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Professional Experience:He has more than 20 years of professional experience in strategic consulting, finance, investments, and business management. From 2005 to 2006, he worked for Wienerberger AG in Vienna. Between 2007 and 2008, he led the company's finance function in Ukraine. In 2011, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in London and completed an internship with the investment firm Horizon Capital in Kyiv. In 2008, he began his career at the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He became a Partner in 2017 and was appointed Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company Ukraine in 2021. He chaired the firm's regional investment committee and led its Energy and Basic Materials practices in Central Europe. He advised leading companies across the region on strategy development and operational transformation programs, while also contributing to national-level development strategies for the energy and natural resources sectors. From 2019 to July 2026, he served as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). On 16 July 2026, he was appointed Minister of Economy and Environment of Ukraine by decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. |
