Over the next 10 years, Ukraine’s goal is to minimize the social and economic impact of contamination of its territories by mines and unexploded ordnance. The Government has approved the draft Decree of the President of Ukraine on the Implementation of the Decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the Forced Seizure of the Property of the Aggressor State and its Residents. The draft document provides for the seizure of more than 800 items of movable property. -

As a result of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, 174,000 square kilometers of Ukraine’s territory are potentially contaminated with explosive ordnance. To consolidate the efforts of all stakeholders in the context of demining Ukraine, the Government, together with Ukrainian and international experts, is working on the development of the Mine Action Strategy.
