More than 37.3 million Ukrainian hryvnias have already been paid to employers to compensate for the wages of internally displaced persons. The decision to grant funds was made to 5,030 entrepreneurs for the employment of 8,415 people. 

In total, employers submitted 5,194 thousand packages of documents within the framework of the program. 3,458 thousand requests for compensation were submitted by legal entities and 1,736 thousand by private entrepreneurs. 

“Forcibly displaced persons need special support. In particular, it is about employment. Most of them experience difficulties in finding job in their new places of residence. Therefore, the state encourages companies to employ these people, compensating employers for part of their wages. In this way, we solve two problems at once – we minimize unemployment among IDPs and give business an impetus to intensify their activities,” said Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine. 

The IDP remuneration compensation program provides employers with a payment of 6.5 thousand Ukrainian hryvnias for each forcibly displaced person employed. Program participants receive such assistance for 2 months. 

In order to receive the funds, an employer must enter into an employment contract with an internally displaced person and register their data on the Diia Portal. After 5 days, the entrepreneur needs to submit an application for compensation together with documents confirming the payment of wages and deductions.

Employers who are registered as payers of a single contribution to mandatory state social insurance and have submitted tax reporting for the 4th quarter of 2021 or the entire year of 2021 can become participants in the program. Budget organizations or social insurance funds are not entitled to payments.
