Ministry of Economy of Ukraine

Main tasks of the department include:

summarizing the practices of application of legislation on the regulation of foreign economic activity, preparing the proposals for the improvement or adoption of new legislative and regulatory acts regarding the mechanisms of state regulation of foreign economic activity in Ukraine;

preparing and processing the proposals for introduction of licensing and quotations in the area of foreign trade;

preparing the proposals for ensuring the operation of systems of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity and implementation of appropriate measures;

fulfillment of legally prescribed regulatory and registration authorization functions in the area of export, import of goods (works, services);

ensuring the issuance of individual licenses for property investments by residents outside Ukraine;

keeping records of foreign companies that apply restrictive business practices to Ukraine or unfairly fulfill commitments towards Ukraine and Ukrainian partners;

conducting the analysis of settlements for foreign economic transactions and development of the proposals for the improvement of the mechanism of making such settlements and the procedure for control thereof;

issuance of conclusions on the extension of the terms of settlements in foreign currency if the resident conducts transactions under the contracts of production cooperation, consignment, complex construction, tender delivery, warranty service, delivery of complex technical products and special purpose goods.
