Main tasks of the department include:

ensuring the implementation of state policy in the area of informatization, development of e-governance, formation of modern information society in the state, record and archive keeping, electronic document flow, access to public information and appeals of citizens, in particular:

ensuring the introduction of modern information and communication technologies and e-government technologies at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, creation of the system of national information resources;

ensuring the administration of national registers and databases maintained by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine;

ensuring the maintenance, operation and further development of the Single State Portal for Administrative Services;

ensuring the administration and technical support of the operation of servers of national information system of government market surveillance and system of prompt mutual notification of products posing serious risk;

ensuring the proper operation and further development of system of electronic interaction between structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine;

organization and exercising of permanent control over fulfillment of tasks determined by the laws of Ukraine as well as other regulatory and administrative documents by structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine;

ensuring that citizens will exercise their constitutional right to apply to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine as public authority;

providing an access in accordance with legally established procedure to public information administered by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine;

organization of the work of public reception of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
