Main tasks of the department include:

planning and implementation of measures aimed at prompt mobilization and transfer to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine of enterprises, institutions and organizations accountable thereto and involved by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in the fulfillment of mobilization tasks (orders) to work in the exceptional period;

implementation of measures aimed at mobilization training and civil protection at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and control of implementation thereof by enterprises, institutions and organizations accountable thereto and involved by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine to fulfill mobilization tasks (orders) and tasks in the area of civil protection in order to ensure the sustainable operation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in peaceful period and in the exceptional period;

preparation, certification and control over adherence by structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations accountable thereto to the orders (requirements), laws, other regulatory and legal acts on the issues of mobilization training and civil protection.
