Main tasks of the department include:

methodological and regulatory support of the issues related to management of state-owned property;

keeping register of contracts concluded with the executives of business entities operating in the state sector of economy;

determining the general principles and priority directions of development in the area of state property management, including corporate rights of the state and state dividend policy;

participation in the formation and implementation of state policy in the area of exercising the rights of the owner through privatization mechanisms; ensuring legal regulation in this area;

formation, upon the proposal of the executives, of the list of state property not subject to privatization;

formation, upon the proposal of competent managerial bodies, of the lists of state enterprises subject to corporatization and approval of schedules for implementation thereof;

development, jointly with concerned central executive authorities, of the proposals for the criteria to classify enterprises as those that are of strategic importance to national economy and security; formulation of the proposals for the list of such enterprises;

development and submission to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of draft decisions on the transfer of state and municipal property, methodological management of the activities of executive authorities on the aforementioned issues;

fulfilling the duties of a state financial monitoring entity with regard to commodity and other exchanges which conduct financial transactions with goods;

control over fulfillment by the executives of state property management functions by conducting the unified monitoring of the efficiency of state property management;

participation in the formation and implementation of state dividend policy;

approval of financial plans of business entities operating in the state sector of economy, which shall be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;

development of methodological recommendations and the form of financial plan;

generalization and analysis of the information of the executives about:

- approval (coordination) of financial plans of business entities operating in the state sector of economy;

- achieving indicators of financial plans of business entities operating in the state sector of economy;

fulfillment of functions related to management of state property accountable to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
